WLWCA's Philosophy

Wisconsin’s land resources have long supported our state’s agricultural, industrial and recreational needs. When used with care, these resources remain rich and abundant. When they’re taken for granted, erosion robs our soil of fertility and chokes our waters with sediment. Harmful chemicals and livestock wastes can pollute our streams, lakes and wells. In addition, forests and wildlife suffer from misuse or degradation of habitat. Educating and advocating ways to properly manage woodlands and wildlife, reduce of soil loss and improve water quality is the philosophy of land and water conservation.

For nearly half a century, WLWCA has been working to improve the understanding of conservation issues and achieve tangible improvements in land use management. Every citizen benefits from the protection of our natural resources. The public’s help is needed to build and provide a permanent financial base for WLWCA’s conservation work.

Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to help further our efforts to educate and advocate statewide soil and water programs. In addition to protecting and conserving Wisconsin’s natural resources, with a minimum of $20 you will receive our newsletter, invitations to special events, action alerts, announcements and a complimentary window decal to show your support and commitment to the protection, enhancement and sustainable use of Wisconsin’s natural resources.
