We are very excited about this year's conference! WLWCA welcomes Eric Eckl, founder of Water Words that Work, LLC, as our keynote speaker. Eric has more than 15 years experience planning and carrying out issue advocacy, fundraising and behavior change campaigns. He is a sought-after speaker for environmental, marketing and technology conferences. He has appeared on CNN and been quoted in the New York Times. Eric sits on the editorial committee for the Center for Watershed Protection and the board of directors for the Green Media Toolshed. WLWCA President Chuck Wagner will welcome attendees on Thursday morning, followed by posting of the colors and WLWCA's accomplishments and resolutions. We then welcome biologist Don Reiter of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin who will share information on lake sturgeon management.

Thursday afternoon includes a general session on theWLWCA/WALCE merger proposal, and breakout sessions on the Working Lands Initiative, Combat Communications for Conservationists with Eric Eckl, Greendale's Bioswale Project, Sandstone Mining and Reclamation, and Timely, Adaptable Responses to Invasives. As always, we'll have our popular Silent Auction with great items available to bid on! The evening's banquet will feature Conservation Awareness Speaking Contest winners and honor the Oustanding Supervisor of the Year, Patrick J. Laughrin.

Friday's breakout sessions include a screening of Green Fire - Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time, How Digestion Can Be Part of Manure Management and Water Quality, LCC Training 101, Perspectives on County Owned Dams, and Wetlands Made Easier - New Approaches for LCCs and LCDs. The conference will conclude with our business meeting, where voting on the proposed merger and resolutions will take place. We hope you will join us in Wisconsin Dells!
