2012 WLWCA Conservation Awards
Please check back soon for information on our 2012 awards. We are in the process of assessing the application for the Conservation Farmer of the Year Award and will have the updated version available this spring. The Outstanding Supervisor nomination form will also be posted in the spring.
Patrick J. Laughrin of Calumet County has been awarded the 2011 Oustanding Supervisor award! Congratulations, Pat. Read about Pat's dedication and accomplishments.
The county that submits the state winner for Conservation Farmer of the Year will get their 2012 WLWCA dues waived!
Unfortunately there were no submissions this year. We will soon be conducting a survey on how to improve the nomination process and other aspects of this award. Please check back soon for details.
Conservation Farmer of the Year
This award promotes total farm conservation accomplishments by recognizing farmers performing outstanding conservation work. The state winner co-hosts Conservation Observance Day the following June with WLWCA.
Outstanding Supervisor
This award recognizes a Land Conservation Committee supervisor who has provided strong and effective leadership in promoting resource conservation through their own actions and work in their community.
Deadlines
Conservation Farmer of the Year nominations should be submitted to the area level by August 26, 2011, with area winners submitted to WLWCA by October 21, 2011.
All Outstanding Supervisor nominations should be submitted to WLWCA by October 21, 2011.
Awards Presentation
Awards are presented during the annual WLWCA Conference.
