WLWCA Member Training Committee

This committee has temporarily been suspended. Please check back soon. Below is information from previous meetings and training.

To address the one of the critical issues in WLWCA's Stragetic Plan, the Member Training Committee was formed in the fall of 2006.  The first meeting was held at the 2006 annual conference.  The Board representative and Chair of this committee is Tom Rudolph from Oneida County, and the staff contact is Chris Schlutt.  The issue addressed is to "Educate land and water conservation committee members on their roles and responsibilities in natural resources conservation, including an understanding of their role in educated elected officials and an understanding of current natural resource issues."  This committee focuses on providing training to newly-elected committee members and staff and continued training for returning supervisors.  Supervisors need to be well informed on natural resource issues and be able to educate others on the issues.

Please contact Chris at the WLWCA office if you are interested in participating in the call and/or joining this committee.

This page contains resources from the 2008 Land Conservation Committee supervisor training sessions.  Please contact Chris if you have any questions.
